"There is no rush for art, self satisfaction is it's real goal. For you to have the opinions guide your own work is toddler's play. You hold the brush, and asking for opinions is the same as asking for someone else to hold the brush for you. The ultimate goal is what you think. And merely let others speak for you and not even volunteer an opening of opinions - for those come automatically."
Basically what my Graphic Art Teacher means is to just "Do it" - whatever it may be. As long as it's "your" decision.
If I were to truly do whatever my heart desires in the name of art, I would've made a feminist animation dealing with the slaying of the NG cartoon phalluses plus gazelle-punching Stamper, parodied games that people haven't heard about since 2002, and made a pseudo-documentary on how Indiana is the "Hoser" state.
In a word: bitchy.
Also, not being lazy would help.
Another thing too is that I feel like an internal hypocrite- wanting to be both a good yet defiant person. The sense of perfectionism fights with the "why bother?" attitude as well.
SO SOMEDAY, I'LL CONQUER MY NEUROSES AND DO WHAT I REALLY WANT TO DO! WORK ON CARTOON PROJECTS FROM THE HOME BASE: KITTEN RANCH! :D
